A few months ago, at my request, my mother sent me this piece of furniture.

We don’t have a lot of closet space, so I think this will work nicely in MoonPie’s room. I started the design process today by having JD bring it out of the garage so that I could sweep it off and empty the drawers. Of old mud daubers nests, and the DEAD MOUSE. That’s when I decided to take a break and look for design inspiration. So I’m thinking when I’m done, it will look like this:

I could totally do this with a couple of pieces of wood, and some white paint.  Or this:

Knock out the back, add a couple of spindles, voila! While I’m working hard on the project, I probably won’t have a lot of time to eat, and all of the painting and sanding should be good for my arms. So along with a super-cool piece of furniture, I fully expect to look like this:

At least the part where I can’t stand straight.
